I have a Tecnik TKD795/3 dishwasher. The wash programme it was on never fin?

I have a Tecnik TKD795/3 dishwasher. The wash programme it was on never finished. I have tried restting the programme with no luck. The programme still runs even with the door open and there was a strange smell while it was running. There doesn't appear to be a blockage. Please help!
