Renault Megane chuging while driving?

Me and my dad have a Renault Megane coupe 2.0 (think its a 1999 model but I could be wrong), its been working fine up untill now. While driving along the car will be going fine then it feels as if the car cant get petrol to the engine, it starts to slow then it will get a burst of speed. We have changed the spark plugs and no luck.

You would be best to get a code reader, or find a garage which would give you a print out on the cheap, as this could also be related to the air flow meter on the car, or any of the sensors, like the o2 sensor for example. A print out from a garage should be no more than £20.00 to £25.00, make sure you ask first, as there are some garages out there that would ask for double, even treble these figures.
