Have just inherited a Canon MV650i digital camcorder. Want to record video onto card rather than tape so bought a new card today. Tried to use for the first time but on pressing the record button I get a red 10 second countdown on the screen and then it beeps and the recording stops. Am able to play back the 10 seconds of footage ok but can't get it to record for any longer. (Should add that haven't got any cassettes so haven't tried to record onto tape.) Have gone through the instruction booklet with a fine tooth come and probably missing something really simple - but want to use the camera at a wedding tomorrow so am desperate for some help/advice please!!
