Citroen saxo desire, 1.5 diesel, loud rattle, doesnt appear to be a problem coming from under the bonnet, more likely exaust or heat panels or something, cant locate what it is though. It gets louder when excellerating and just after changing gear, starts immediatly when engine is started. Any idea what it might be?

put car on ramps, and check all fittings on your exhaust/heatshield and engine mounts. if not them then you will need to check gearbox to engine bolts.
