We have a 15 year old GE Potscrubber 650 dishwasher. Used 2-3 x a week. I used a generic white liquid detergent and my 4 yr old black cooking utensils had a partial white film on them. Used the detergent a second time and the utensils had more white film on them plus some of the glasses. Went back to a name brand detergent but things continued getting white. We ran vinegar through but the white film continued getting worse. I have now tried soaking and scouring to no avail! Is it a fluke that my dishwasher was suddenly on it's last leg the same day I used the generic detergent? Help! How do I get my glasses and mixing bowls clean again?
