can,t go to cmos?

I have a ibm thinkpad 600x. I reaplased the cmos battary and updted the date and time. now I cano't go to cmos. Also I format my hard drive I can,t boot with the CD! How can I Install the operating system.

I assume that by "go to cmos" you mean you wan to go to the BIOS Setup Utility. Press F1. To boot from the CD try pressing F12.
