chain saw not rotating to cut?

I have borrowed an Electrolux/McCulloch electric chain saw Model ES 414. After working OK for about 10 minutes the cutters stopped rotating. The motor is running however. Has a drive pin sheared on the drive pinion and if so is it repairable?

performance power electric chainsaw pwr1800csd the motor runs but the chain will not rotate help

The pinion on the motor is steel, however the internal drive gear is nylon

Drive Pinion seems to be steel and looks OK.

The blade brake on this model is in the form of a plastic hand cover guard which will only allow machine to operate when pulled back. when pulled back once again motor is running but cutter blades not rotating

Are you sure you haven't activated the chain brake by any chance? This will be a large lever on the top of the machine in front of the handle you hold with your left hand.

To deactivate it, simply pull it back towards you and try it again.

Internal nylon drive gear stripped, it can be repaired, however it will require taking the machine apart. Gear part no. 538005320 available through Flymo or one of their dealers
