Does the Whirlpool AWM 294 600 washing machine have a heater?

Hi,

We use only cold water in our Whirlpool AWM 294 600 front loading washing machine but it still manages to shrink clothes.

Does this model have a water heater that could be accidentally active during cold water washes?

Thanks
Dave

all machines have a HEATER element built in this is usually located at the bottom of the drum for obvious reasons (total contact with the water comes to mind ) this can also have a thermostat that can go faulty, some machines also use a relay on the mother board to feed the heater the contacts in this can weld together
