Nissan Micra Timing belt/chain replacement?

Could you please tell me at what mileage I should replace my Nissan Micra's timing belt. It's a 2000 model W registration, now on 60000 miles
Many thanks

timing belts are normally changed anywhere between 60000-75000 miles or 5 years, whichever comes first, this depends on model of car, so i would think about changing it shortly. if you need to, get a haynes manual for your car, as this will give you the full details on how to change belt, as it only needs for sprockets to move slighty, for timing to be out, causing you more problems.

hope it helps, August 2010
