Hi everyone! I have a 406 diesel hdi. The clutch went without any warning today the biting point was normal but now you engage gears and lift pedal up with now motion. Could it be hydraulic as opposed to clutch itself?

I agree with Wickham, the problem sounds internal. I would say that the friction lining has worn down to the rivets and has now started to fall off. New clutch kit is required I'm afraid. Shop around for quotes.
Good luck Vince.

if your engine is running and you are in gear and foot off clutch suspect you have a clutch problem and the g/box will have to come out to investigate
