how to change an oil pan ?

how to change an oil pan on a 1993 Buick LeSabre. I have a dented oil pan,it gives me an incorrect reading on stick and also is leaking. I would like detailed instructions with pics on how to replace it.

here in england, we call it an oil sump, you do not say where leak is from, if from dent, you will need to buy a new pan and seal, raise car onto ramps, undo your pan plug, and drain oil out, and discard of properly, undo all holding bolts, remove pan and seal, clean area where seal go's and refit new seal and pan, refit plug, and fill with correct amount and type of oil. drive car for about 5 miles, and re-check oil level. if you can get a manual for your car this will have the pictures you will need.

hope it helps, August 2010
