where the spark plug turns into the head the threads have been striped,how can i repair that

there are helicoil inserts that can repair damaged threads but have never fitted these before,it will depend how accessible the job is or whether you have a cast or alloy head,you may want to take it to an engineer for an opinion,it may be that a replacement head is your only option
