citroen xsara picasso fan stops working when after starting !?

2001 2.0hdi picasso,fans work intermittently when ignition is but when the car is started they go off???
can anyone help

The fan is powered by the ignition switch which can become faulty. replacing the ignition switch will solve this. I got a mechanic to connect the fan power onto a seperate fuse and it still works after 1 year
