Do you offer any suggestions to mending a small, cigarette burn hole in brand new carpet? Years ago I saw a tv commercial for mending a carpet hole that included a product, some carpet fibers, and an iron. I thought of using gorilla glue and carpet fibers to cover the hole. Any suggestions?

Somewhere in the room will be a piece of furniture that covers the carpet and is seldom moved - a TV table or a sofa for instance - cut a small square from the hidden area and place it over the burn - cut very carefully around the patch and remove the burnt offering - just swap the two - use carpet tape - extra sticky - as a hold down. Buy a bigger ashtray.
