central locking not working?

the rear passenger door,central locking is not working.its a vectra 1.8 gls 1997.i've been told to get a new servo motor & check the wiring .is this right & is this an easy job for a novice.

You have to take the door card off and they all vary. A Haynes manual is your best bet. It will show you how with pictures - try the local library. Although you can get new motors from a Vauxhall dealer, you can often get them much cheaper at Maplins.
