how do i set the diesel pump timing on mercedes sprinter 208d ,i can see the setting on the cam and crankshaft but not the pump

no the injectors do not have wires on them

is it a common rail system [do all injectors have electrical connections on them] if so then pressure pump dosen't need timing.
