hoover optima fills up then just stops ?

hoover optima is 18 months old it fills up but then nothing happens there are no error codes flashing whats wrong with it please

check the heater element is not o/c open circuit
some machines will not advance if the heater has gone.
other machines WILL just do a cold wash irrespective of the temp selected first thing you of this is when the clothes appear to come out grubby
