I had a simalar problem and after allot of messing about a mixture of New Starter motor (seems that was a recall fault?),Copper injector seals and Inlet manifold clean (was clogged up round the egr inlet pipe and the map sensor, had to be removed to be cleaned properly) but at the end of it all ran fine.
It only played up a bit now when its really cold out side and its not moved for a few days, but i'm told that proberly due to the Fuel starting to thicken but its only done that once so i'm happy.
