Proposing laminate floor?

After a tank burst and renew of bathroom floor I was toying with the idea of laminating the shower room. What is the best type of none slip matting to put down as we all know laminate is like ice when wet, and as we also have a toilet in there I don't want to slip over and flush myself down the khazi, prefering to inspect the drains from the outside not inside !.

Go to your local carpet shop. They should be able to supply you with a nonslip floor covering. That is what I did. Works fine for me.

Bathroom floors naturally get wet however hard you try - laminate floors generally do not like to be wetted too often - if it were my bathroom laminate would be the last thing I would use - but I know nothing.

In our bathroom we had a professional fitter lay a sheet of bubble-rubber type flooring - raised circles 1mm high and about the size of 10p pieces all over. He sealed all the edges to stop water getting under. It gets vacuumed and mopped once a week. Towelling bath mats on the floor make life more comfy and much less slippery.

The floor will always get wet - you will be best off with a continuous sheet of something waterproof sealed at the edges.

Good luck...
