How can I put the chain back on my craftsman chain saw?

How I can put the chain back on my craftsman chainsaw modle #41AZ63NQ799?
Mike Angelone, June 2006
They are all pretty much the same.
Most likely a Poulan, they are who are making them for Sears/Craftsmen. Poulan is owned by Electrolux, they also make Poulan Pro, Huskvarna and Jonsered chainsaws.

Release bar tension.
Remove the drive cover/bar nuts.
Remove cover.
Place chain over clutch and on to drive sprocket.
Make certain cutters on chain are towards tip of bar and are in the bar groove of bar.
Replace drive cover making certain the chain tensioner fits in the bar.
Replace nuts so they just seat.
Adjust tension of chain to specs, diff. if solid or sproket nose bar.
Tighten up nuts that fasten cover and bar.

Order a manual "free" called "maintenance and Service manual"
techservices@oregonchain.com

Manual is online also at oregons website. Best to order one free though.

Get someone to show you how to operate and maintain a saw, high maintenance and highly dangerous if you don't know what you are doing. All explained in manual, however much better if and experienced operator shows you what to do. Wear safety clothing.

Thank the fellow that posted this for you.
