I am getting a message on the dash saying , check injection with a spanner showing, the car seems to run ok and the message comes on after about 3 miles of driving, what is this all about? How do I reset the system ? Does it mean there is dirt in the injectors? Will diesel injector cleaner cure it?

check injection shows for various faults .usually egr valve or fap filter blocked . it even comes on when the battery has trouble starting the car .buy a code checker from machine mart , cos taking the car to renault dealership is expensive .

I been doing some research, I think its the particulate filter clogged up, so I went for a fast drive for half hour, smelled the burning of soot on the dpf which is supposed to happen, I will find out tomorrow if it burnt all the soot away, these cars need regualar motorway journeys to keep the particular filter clean, the only thing I need to know now is , is the check injection warning coming on because of the dpf, or has the dpf got its own warning, I.e clean dpf??

I ve got Renault Laguna 1.9dci 2003,starting to cut of as i was driving it got worse 3 to 4 times a day,but thing got even worser didn t want to start at all now.
Any body gt an idea Please.

someone will be clued up there, i had a laguna mk2 1.9dci, it was EGR valve, newe one sorted but they tend to know more on forum
