potterton ep2000 how to use it?

Moved into new house and when i switch on the hot water alone the heating comes on. As i hve no manual is there an easy solution or must i get a man in?

Send for the man - there's a motorised valve that directs the heated water to Hot water - Or Central Heating - Or both at the same time - sometimes they get stuck - it may be your EP2000 but it's more likely (just a guess) to be the motorised valve... The programmer may be calling for just hot water but the valve may be sending it to the radiators too.

If you can find the valve - there's often a manual override lever - Hot water is in the "relaxed" position - Heating is hard the other way - against a spring.

Good luck...
