How can I get my Peugeot 206 automatic engine started?

My Peugeot 206 automatic jammed but after a couple of attempts managed to get it going. After parking up the engine now won't start at all. Am parked close to wall so can't push it out - any help would be much appreciated.

Its possible the selector cable has detached from the lever on top of gearbox. If it has come off in a drive position it will not start. It is unlikely the transmission has seized. Otherwise more info required ie. does it try to turn over or click when attempting to start? Can the shift lever move out of Park?

was it the gearbox or engine that siezed?
if engine could be headgasket gone, or timing belt, you will need a mechanic to look at it, as it could really be one of many causes. same if g/box siezed, you will need it to be looked at, but engines & auto boxes are expensive to fix, you might need to consider going to a good scrappy for replacements as this can work-out cheaper than engine/g/box re-builds. ask different garages to get best price. Good Luck.
