Hoover Nextra8 HNF7148 Washing Machine - My washing machine will not start washing. The problem started when the last wash cycle stopped midway. The 'Door locked' light indictated that the cycle had completed so I took the clothes out and saw that there was still about an inch of water in the bottom. I tried to use the Drain programme but it wouldn't empty the washing machine. I have cleaned the filter and the outlet pipes in my house and it still doesn't work (Not that I expected it to). So, to clarify the problem, the washing machine will not take in water or drain, but will spin. Can someone help?

Hoover HNF7148 Washing Machine is not washing at all. Once i put it to a particular programme to wash, it wont just wash at all the later will be indicating the delay wash light only. Please what is likely to be the problems and what can i do now. I need an urgent help.

have you checked the pump itself??its a very cheap italian pump,and does not take much to stop it

it could be a blockage in the pressure system,as water enters,it pushes water up a tube to operate a pressure switch,this in turn sends power to the timer advance motor,the pressure chamber gets blocked with gunk,all you have to do is remove it,clean it out,then try again,i worked for hoover for twenty years in glasgow,and we cleaned the chamber out on all service calls,hope this helps you
