Our register says 'closed' and when its in the reg mode and closed appears we tried to sign- on as a clerk but none of the clerk keys are working. And the register will not allow us to go into the programming mode or Z mode. What do we do to make the register work?

If you can't sign on, then you may have to try to read the clerk program to see if it has a PIN number. try an initial clear and look up the program scan for clerks. If you need a manual, c-tech collective have many here:
