brakes?

how do i cange my front brake pad on my renault cllo 2002
ken, September 2010
jack car up onto axle stands, remove front wheels, behind calipar should be 2 rubber caps, remove these and using 7mm or 8mm allen key undo both holding bolts, remove pad holder and discard old pads, wire brush clean holder of any rust/dust etc, dab copper ease onto sliders and re-fit in reverse. you will need to push the piston back to fit new pads, normally you can do this before taking pad holder off with a medium size screwdriver, if yours need to be screwed back in then you need to get a piston reversing tool, get this from the same motor factors as pads. you must do both front wheels and no heavy braking to allow pads to "bed-in".

hope it helps, September 2010
