Car not starting?

My Corsa Elegance 2003 automatic is not starting, all lights inside & out are working and tried to jump start no good, someone said it could be starter motor?

Ensure it's in Park and with ignition on touch a jumper wire from the live terminal on the starter to the small one. If it cranks then the fault is with the circuit to the starter. This could be the key switch or the transmission range/inhibitor switch or the wiring. If it doesn't crank then it's the starter or battery/supply/earths.

if car has a "clicking" noise when you are trying to start car, then could well be starter motor, try tapping it with a small hammer to release it, if still not working, need to replace it, get one from good scrappy.

hope it helps, September 2010
