lawn mower?

key start mountfield lawn mower battery has become detached from machine. how do I attach the terminals again?

Not sure what you mean, as the battery is designed to be detached from the mower for charging purposes. Simply re-plug the two pin connector into the wiring loom on the engine and away you go.
