A twig got jammed in the blades of my hedge trimmer which stopped them moving. The twig was released and although there is nothing now to restrict the blades movement they are still not doing so. The motor is still working.
My qualcast hedge cutter keeps stopping. Any ideas what I can do?

My Qualcast when cutting with it the blade keeps going right angle, is there any way to tighten this to stop this happening?

My Electric hedge trimmer 600w /60 cm blade is overheating, can someone help please.

Alan. If the motor runs but the blades aren't reciprocating, then the drive belt or drive gear has stripped. If the blades are jammed due to a bent tooth then the motor will not work properly, but simply "hum" and try and work against the restriction.

U probably bent one of the teeth on the blade.Look along the blade to find it Should straighten out with some persuasion. Always make sure it is unplugged if u want to keep all your fingers !!

I hardly think a shot of spray lube will repair the stripped drive belt/gear in the gearbox.

Try some Bosch Hedgetrimmer Lubricant Spray (part number 1609200399) or WD40
