indesit wd12 filling with water when off?

Indesit wd12 filling water in the drum when off. My waste is connected to sink. Have cleaned pipes to sink. any answers. Could it be inlet valves. How do you check them?

if you turn off the unit and unplug from the mains, turn off the water supply, disconnect the internal hoses from the inlet solenoids, then turn the water back on and the one that drips is the faulty unit.

raise the height of the drainage pipe between the sink spigot and the washer, ideally fasten it just under the height of the work top, this prevents back siphoning occurring, if it then still fills its the inlet valves
