why am I getting gas into my oil?

I have a rider, and when i change my oil, I noticed that it was mixed with gas,why does this happen and how can I repair it? what am I looking for?How can I find out?

Yes, if this is happening whilst the mower is not in use you could fit an in line fuel tap and shut the fuel off when not in use

so this is the needle valve in the carb.where the gas comes in from the tank.

I would think the engine has an internally vented carb which is leaking on the inlet needle
