hot point tumble dyer will not spin?

dont quite understand your question, but if the drum turns and keeps going when you give it a push start it sounds as though the starter for the motor isnt working. It depends on what sort of motor it is, but if it is brushless with a capacitor starter, then the capacitor may have failed. I also have a dead hotpoint tumble dryer, but mine wont turn at all. It has no capacitors to start it, but a weird relay thing.
