lets start this with telling you this:- the first time i did the barrings on a washer was in fact a hotpoint! and it only had a life of no more then 3 months after that! due to me not doing it right! but only cost me £30 to get the washer working again & i knew the mistake i made! which the next time i NEVER made! so what i am saying is go for it if you f**k it up then still would of cost you more to get it repaired off shop! the library is the best place for information on d.i.y. washer repairs but take note the hotpoint is a plastic drum so getting the barrings out can be a little harderbut the mistake i made was scratching the side of the wall of the barrings housing! and a little tip draw dieagrams to remind you on how you took the drum out so its easyer to put back in even how small you think it is DONT THINK I WONT WRITE THAT DOWN I WILL REMEMBER THAT! cos chances are you will forfet betime you get the chance to put it all back together!
