Car makes a clonking noise when changing down the gears, it only seems to happen when the engine has reached full runing temp. there does not seem to be a dipstick to check auto gearbox oil level. its not slipping at all and changes up smoothly.

Thank you for your help but found that bottom rear gearbox mounting was worn, replaced and noise has gone, yeah !

If there is no sign of leaks do not add fluid. The throttle may not be validated giving an unusually high pressure. To validate without tool try this- Sit in car hold throttle to floor (no mats under pedal). Then switch on ignition still foot to floor for 5-10 seconds, release pedal 5-10 secs. Start car.
