Purgeot 406 diesel pump immobiliser wiring frayed?

Is it possible to cut the wires going to the diesel pump on a Purgeot 406 2.1TD and resolder them with out the extra resistance affecting the immobiliser? The sheathing on my wires has all perished. Dealer wants €1200 for a new immobiliser.
