If it tries occasionally to fill on rinse for a short time and pumps out/drains if the hose is flat on the floor but the programming seems off, its the motor carbon brushes worn down.
To prove it if you have no spares, remove the brush holders and gently stretch the carbons out of the holders a little bit so that they touch the commutator in the motor when refitted. The copper pigtail will usualy give about 2mm stretch if you are careful.
It will maybe work for a few days whilst you get new brushes.
