can top strut make rattle noise?

we have corsa 1.2 53 reg we have changedthe lot on front suspension but still the car rattles over humps i am thinking maybe top strut suspension mounting worn

have you checked the steering column clamp bolt[where lower part of column fits to top part],another thing to check is collapsible column should be fitted with nylon pins that break to allow column to collapse-are they still in place !are all pedal box bolts/nuts in place,theres one under scuttle panel behind wiper linkage.

yes thanks all u said have been replaced new parts all roundbrakes r ok this rattle seems yo be coming from near pedal area cant be sure also put new inter steering shaft in same problem

have you tried lightly pressing brake pedal when it's rattling to see if noise goes,if it does it could be brake pads rattling, anti-rattle clips may be missing,also how are steering rack tie bars ,the ball joint in same is common for wearing and would rattle on rough road.are bottom ball joints ok.have anti-roll bar links been checked and ruled out?

only way is to remove struts and springs for a good look at top mount and check struts also while the springs are off
