how to keep an rs?

im gettin my rs 125 2009 full power with arrow exhaust and fsh with just 750 miles on it in a week and as i got provisional only can i just disconect powervalve to restrict it so it legal for me and just want to know how to keep it as reliable as posible and is it true the piston has to b replaced every 10'000 miles what cost of this and what needs to b ckecked regurly (except petrol and oil lol)
also do i have to warm it up first and for how long?

These bikes do suffer from engine problem if you dont take care of them,use good 2 stroke oil like silkolene comp 2 and warm it up until the COLD message goes from the lcd.i wouldnt replace the piton unless its slapping alot they make a rattle on the overun at about 4000 rpm if its loose in th bore and you can buy graded pistons for them so they are fractionally bigger then the one you have in it.the barrles are nickle .plated and cost a ortune to replate but mitaka make a good replacement kit for them.the big ends go but then all 2 strokes do that in the end.id leave the powervalve like it is who will ever know ?

piston every 10,000???? it will explode long before that,so dont worry about a piston,and you will no doubt slide it down the road after only a few miles
