My kids have broken my vacuum cleaner. They have pushed it down to lay flat on the floor and now it won't go back into an upright position. I would take it to Sears to get repaired but it will take two weeks to get back and my husband is freaking out over the condition of the house.
Thanks,
It worked. If I knew enough about this forum and could get your email, I would send a private thank you.
Thanks,
Regina

Hi, Just go to www.dyson-online.com and then click on ‘HELP & SUPPORT’ then choose either 'Hints & Tips' or ‘Technical Advice’. The site is fantastic. Good luck.

Try this.
While standing behind the machine look down and remove the airway intake valve (small pipe with two release buttons about 4 inches back from your carpets/barefloor dial). Recline machine about halfway, reach into the opening you just created by removing the intake valve and firmly pull up the black piece inside that opening. You should hear it snap into place. Your machine should stand upright. Any trouble with this try callingg the dyson helpline on your vacuum handle.
