piaggio zip 50 2001 headlight is very dim on high and low beam also tail light dim , but all other electrics work fine. could this be a problem with regulator

yes gary could be the recifier also it could be the stator coils which are part of the generaor circuit and are bolted on the right hand side of the engine behind the magneto which is behind the fan cover ok.
