why does oil and stop light flicker?

i have a renault kangoo trekka, and the oil and stop light keeps flashing! can you tell me why

hi Donna if it does flash and stop or flash when you go over bumps you need to check your oil level for both, i mean engine oil and brake fluid it may be below the level.
