Where is the Automatic Transmission fluid Resuvoir MK2?

Hi can anyone tell me where the resuvoir is in an 02 clio it is a quickshift 5 automatic some of the gears are slipping, it seems to go into 4th and 5th but sounds like it is still in 3rd, just bought some fluid to go in that stops slipping but can't find the res. Thanks

If this is the automated manual box then fluid will not stop the clutch from slipping. I only know about proper autos therefore cannot assist further, sorry.

As far as i'm aware, the automatic transmission doesn't normally have a resovoir, the fluid/oil goes directly in to the gearbox. If the gearbox has a dipstick, you should be able to put it down the dipstick tube, otherwise there should be a filler plug somewhere. Check with your owners handbook for the proper procedure for checking the level. Do not overfill the gearbox.

you will need to find out why you have lost your gearbox oil, if leak found you will need this fixed or you will lose more oil. if you ask at a renault dealer they should be able to tell you where filler is, once you have put right type/amount of transmisson fluid in you will need to strat the car, and keeping the brakes on, go though the gears to settle fluid thoughout the gearbox. if you still have trouble with box then you might need to go to an auto transmisson techie.

hope it helps, September 2010
