How can I fix my Mocad golf trolley?

I have replaced the battery, the gearbox/motor,control box and checked all the exisiting wiring, and on/off switch. Still no go. It just stopped on me while walking the fairway

My Mocad trolley works fine however, the right hand side wheel does not move freely when the trolley is stopped. The only way it moves is when you turn on the speed dial. Can this be corrected. Thanks Gordon

My Mocad runs normally for about 100 meters then quits. It seems to recover after an overnight rest , then quits as before . Wiring seems OK .New battery . Any ideas .Thanks Terry

The problem of erratic stop starting is due to carbon build up in the motor, it needs taking apart and THOROUGHLY cleaning, not easy but I have done it and everything was fine afterwards.

Everyone seems to blame the batteries for failure on the Mocad trolley. But the problem lies in the PWM,or controller. If people replace this with a Porter 140 controller from a company called 4QD the trolley will be fault free.

Recently had problems with controlling the speed of my golf trolley (mocad). replaced switch, gear box and problem the same. finally replaced controller and the problem was resolved for about 6 weeks. now the trolley has a mind of its own. it can accelerate or slow down at any time when in motion without touching the switch. I am guessing its a controller problem perhaps water has got in or faulty controller. I am sure battery, charger, gear box, switch are all ok. I wonder what the problem is as it is getting worse, my golf trolley is out of control on the golf course with these sudden surges of acceleration/ deceleration. its dangerous actually.

Assume new battery voltage >12Vdc and Torberry ( red/Black) lead ends are secure.
Jumping the lead pair to motor direct from battery Runs !! If yes, not motor or gearbox.
Motor controller is correct replacement
Speed controller substituted. On/Off switch is correct. That is, it does switch on and off.Resistive wiper on potentiometer gives a varying DC voltage at the centre tage when rotated. If not (0 ) controller possibly at fault.
