Could my head gasket have blown?

I have a corsa 1.2 1999. the temperature gauge went right up, when I checked the water it was empty. I filled it up then the same thing happened again. It's been in the garage they replaced the radiator and fan switch and topped it up with water and anti freeze. After driving for 20 mins the water had gone down to half. They said they left engine running for half hour and should not loose water. Could this still happen as it is a new radiator? I looked under oil cap and there was a little yellow foamy gunge. Can anyone help pls?

hi listen sometimes you loose water by having a lick on any pipe and when your car is on idle you won't notice the lick. But when driving it rises the pressure then the water goes all out. but if you said that your oil is looking grey and not black your engine is mixing water and yes your head gasket as gone. but check careful top up the water and take a round the block if the water goes away it will be a lick on any pipe, normally it use to happen right around your inlet manifold. good lucky
