We have a tumble dryer and it sometimes squeaked ... Pulled it apart and found the felt bearing that supports the rotating drum had worn out and the metal was touching in a couple of spots ... not good... got some felt that you can put under under things ( chairs, tables etc you can buy this stuff in strips so i just cut it to mimick the shape that was there ) to make them slip easily on wooden surfaces etc... stuck this on with epoxy metal glue from car spare part shop and it's so quiet now ... Make sure the epoxy metal glue you buy can handle at least 250 deg Farenheight approx 120 deg celcius.... Also did a similar repair on our other dryer but couldn't fit in the felt so i used cotton tape doubled over and glued once again with the epoxy metal glue ... then sprayed a light coat of series 5000 silicon spray . that machine also really quiet now, like a new one !
