when the car is hot water rises and escapes from filler bottle?

i have a rover streetwise, its been losing water daily, ran the car to check noticed water escaping from filler bottle when up to temp anyone have any idea why ?

Could be thermostat stuck. impeller broken off water pump.but with it been a rover its more like a head gasket problem.
