renault kangoo 1.2 petrol 54 plate piston ring problem?

can anyone help me with identifying the difference between the middle and top piston rings as i have stripped it down but now need to rebuild in the correct order

usually the top ring has a slight step on outer edge that faces towards cyl head [to allow for ridge in bore]
