problem with fiat punto 1996 auto selecta?

recently i am finding it harder to put my automatic gears into drive and reverse seems to be getting stiffer can u advise me??

As long as you can select easily without engine running then you will need the powder clutch. If you try to use it you will damage the synchro in the box. The box will need removing and powder clutch overhauled or replaced. For specialist www.fedauto.co.uk
