Model #11635923502 - KENMORE Vacuum Brush doesn't turn?

The rest of the vacumn seems to work OK but the brush does not turn. Is there a switch in the handle that turns it on and off when the handle is raised and lowered? It was working fine and suddenly stopped working when you lower the handle.
