As a note, the rear wiper motor is riveted in to the windscreen on my 55 plate 206, so do you have a diy fix for this please?

This is quite a straight forward job to undertake, firstly you need to remove the rear wiper arm (lift the cap at the base of wiper arm to reveal a 10mm or 13mm nut unscrew this and remove the hardest part is taking the arm off the spindle, this is a tapered joint and sometimes sticks use plenty of lube, hold the body of the arm and give it a wiggle if this fails you might need a wiper puller but just give it a bit of time.
Next lift the hatch and remove the plasic cover from the inside of the tailgate torque screws and poppers hold this on this will reveal the motor disconect the wire loom and remove the nuts then slide it out of the glass. (Done)
